Essential oils obtained through steam distillation are many a times contaminated with phthalates eroding their market value. Like to know precisely how to minimise such contaminant and can we get information on that through GC analysis.

It's very much difficult to remove phthalate from the essential oil due to the accumulation of phthalate in the growth stages of the plants bearing essential oil ?.

Hi, Dr Kumar Kothari
before of extract essential oils through steam distillation, while plant samples were dried. Under plant samples don't placed newspapers. Because Ink is used to print phthalate(one Experience). Also, The oils were collected in sealed glass containers.
