I am writting an article about student's interventions with Jewish and Arab mothers in early education (children of 6 years old in first grade). The children are defined by the teachers as at risk children.
Within the community there are various means to help students and mothers at risk, particularly at early education. Projects that involve university students who receive the proper educational guidance could help children and mothers at risk. The potential for these interventions at the early stages of learning is tremendous.
Dear Bruria, Are you thinking about a clinical, pedagogical or community intervention? I understand that those childs are on social risk. Your question made me remember the work of Professor Reuven Feuerstein (1921-2014). He created a method and an institute. I copy link:

Feuerstein understand that an individual's background effects how they learn and process. He designed and operated programs targeted to help students from all different educational and societal backgrounds to improve the way they think, learn and anaylze.
