Hi Adeyemi, my work is published in Separation Science regarding the cost for water treatment using pseudomonas and cyanobacteria for a typical steel plant in 2012 costs around INR 1000-1250 per day per shift (3 shifts in a day) using alum and polyelectrolyte as additive chemicals. The above cost range is only of the chemicals used rather than total operating cost. The chemical dosed is to treat the water containing amount of oil of 195 ppm which is to be reduced to a level of 10 ppm. You can find detail about on it the below link.

Our group just published a review paper in which we compared nanotechnology-based water treatments with conventional treatment methods in terms of performance, cost, and effects.
