One method to get multi bands using single patch antenna is introducing slots into the patch. Can anybody pls tell me in which portion of the patch(like corner, center, diagonal etc...)antenna slots should be incorporated.

No, you don't feed a patch at the center. The impedance at center is zero, you can't have the feed at that point
k....i agree...i mean for some other structure because am working on Fan like structure with four wings...and am giving the feeding at the center.
Your question did not include this part. I am not sure about this but may be you can calculate the impedance of slot and then introduce it on the patch where patch impedance equals that of the slot. Patch impedance at center is zero and maximum at the edge, so you can optimise the position of slot keeping this fact in mind.
sir thank you for your reply....if possible can you tell how to calculate impedance at any point on a patch(of any shape)?.....can it be done using tool like HFSS?

This can give u an idea about it. In HFSS you can do this by de-embedding (there is a tutorial on emtalk.com for designing a microstrip patch, which shows how to de-emdded a port, using same technique if you de-embed a port upto any distance inside patch you will get the impedance at that point, don't re-normalize port impedance while doing this). Or you can define a feed point at any position in patch and then plot its input impedance after simulation (again don't re-normalize the port)

As suggested by Nitin, if you introduce slots at center you will get multi bands. You can also place slots in ground for obtaining multiple bands.
