I'm working on my dissertation on the subject of work engagement in the higher education work environment and am having some trouble finding empirical literature for this context.
Any suggestions on where to look and/or a search string?
If you are using the UWES instrument - I think it is interesting to have a look at the instrument manual (https://www.wilmarschaufeli.nl/tests/#engagement), you have some information when you approach UWES-S.
Another tip is to look at the publications of Prof. Schaufeli he makes available on his website (https://www.wilmarschaufeli.nl/my-publications/articles-and-chapters/)
I am writing to inform you that I read an interesting book
Maija Leimanis-Wyatt (2010) CLASSROOM DIY A practical step-by-step guide to setting up a creative learning environment published by Routledge.
Summary:
Setting up the classroom is a fundamental part of a teacher’s job, as a well-planned, aesthetically pleasing environment encourages children to learn and helps with classroom management. Knowing how to create this environment is not instinctive and teachers are given little guidance, yet are expected to create a stimulating environment that is conducive to learning. Classroom DIY provides teachers with the answer to these problems. A practical, step-by-step guide, written from firsthand experience, Classroom DIY will enable any primary teacher to make a spectacular job of setting up their room using any materials they have available
Thanks for the feedback Andrija Kozina . My dissertation involves work engagement for professional staff (non-academics) in the higher education work environment so I'm looking for context for the environment as it pertains to administrators and non-teaching professionals.
@Mohamed Abdallah Turky and @Paulo Cesar Porto-Martins, thank you so much for the excellent resources!! I greatly appreciate the assistance/support.
