There seems to be a connection between the fundamental Schumann resonance frequency of 7.83 Hz and weather phenomena such as lightning, global temperature variations and changes etc. Also perturbations in the Schumann resonance frequencies have been suggested as a predictor of earthquakes.

Less known is the relation between the Schumann resonance frequency and biological life forms on our planet. But it makes sense that there is a connection. Some old experiments suggest that taking the magnetic field completely away (by complete shielding biological lifeforms from the earth magnetic field) leads to a collapse of the immune system. Similar studies suggest also that using an artificially generated field at the right frequencies will restore the normal situation.

MHz, KHz, THz frequencies have been recorded in microtubules at 37C which are known to follow the Bandopadhaya Coherence. In my opinion the Schuman resonance forms the base frequency of all living and non living beings that resonate at higher frequencies and these frequencies when interact with each other either construct or destruct. This has been explained well by the PCAR theory where the brain, cells, atoms are phase conjugates that can adapt the frequency of one another e.g. the feeling of serenity, peacefulness, etc in a beautiful location is because you blend with the frequency of that location or the interference between the frequencies is constructive but when there is an sense of eeriness of a place is when there is a frequency mis match. Chanting is another example where the frequencies of a chant can bring about a constructive interference within an individual to bring a feeling a peacefulness. Frequencies therefore help in ways that we cannot see but the constant exchange of them becomes difficult to measure.

As I understand Shumann Resonators were also used on all Spaceshuttles to prevent that health of Astronauts deteriorated severely whilst in space, away from the Earth's Schumann Resonance. 

Dr. Konig and Dr. Schumacher discovered that there is a correlation between Schumann Resonance and brain rhythms. Following this several other researchers also investigated the effect of manmade signals in relation to this, but only very limited exposure was given to these studies.

The current generation is the first to live in an environment full of manmade EMF without knowing the exact consequences for both physical and mental health.

The effects of EMF on bird navigation and bee culture has already started showing effects. There is a need to understand long term effects of EMF's which currently is in vogue to maintain connectivity. We may be connected to people across the seven seas but we do not realize our disconnect with the body. To much of something will ruin the good and that is where all this is leading, where we are utilizing the good for purposes which may seem unnecessary. The effects of these will come up to par at a later date where man would revert back to looking at himself rather than the other and all materialism would come to an end.

Many independent subtle energy researchers have alerted about the negative effects of man-made EMF´s. There are various obstacles to this research coming "clean", namely that some manufacturers might be biased or simply not interested in knowing all this (or letting others know) and also, that most of the research being done outside what Thomas Kuhn regarded as "normal science" (his book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions") is still considered fringe and does not attract enough interest or funds (plus some researchers and scientists might be inclined to publicly disregard all that to preserve their prestige). I do have a Schumann resonator at home and I´d say it even improves the listening environment when I´m recording and mixing in my studio. Also, many of the products based on brainwave entrainment are designed to entrain the schuman frequency as for many it has a special significance (and if it didn´t, it still falls in what´s called the Alpha-Theta border, a bandwidth used in various neurofeedback training protocols).
