Hi all,

I would like to get some opinions regarding how to compare the spatial ocurrence of an event ("presence", as points) at different times. Given that it's highly unlikely that two events will happen in the exact same coordinates, I assume one would have to create a grid and compare the quadrants over time.

For example: I have the geographic coordinates in which animals of a certain genotype were detected. They are in very low frequency compared to the rest of the population. I have this type of data for successive years, and I would like to know which pairs of years are significantly different.

To give you an idea, the image shows a rasterized grid of 1x1km cells, and the white ones represent presence of the genotype of interest.

Thanks in advance for your comments.
