Compared with resistance mode humidity sensor, what is the advantage of using capacitance mode?

For humidity sensing purpose we use many humidity detection techniques as Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW), Field Effect Transistor (FET), Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM), Impedance, Resistance and Capactitance mode. But what are the advantages in Capacitive mode compare to resistive mode hmidity sensor?
