I am wondering if somebody has experience with trying different columns for pesticide analysis. Pesticides of interest are mainly polar and I would like to hear some opinions about the column choice. Hopefully, I get some insights :)
For USP-561 pesticide LC-MS analysis of polar pesticides, HILIC, porous graphitic carbon (PGC), or hybrid mixed-mode columns are recommended for effective retention and separation. Specialized columns like Phenomenex Luna Polar Pesticides provide optimized performance for such analytes.
My research is on 2,4D herbicide. C18 Columns are generally good for pesticides analysis. Polar embedded and aqueous compatible. Phenomenex Luna Omega Polar C18 or Kinetex polar C18 would be okay.
