COVID-19: Beneficial or harmful effects of Colchicine
This question can be answered only by a case control cohort study. The case arm of the study should be using colchicine while getting COVID-19 for an underlying disease e.g. Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) while a similar group matched for age and comorbidities with COVID-19 be used as a control group.
Not recommended due to toxicity. But more evidence is required to access its efficacy.
