If hydroxylamine is detected then you are right. Also watch out for the presence of nitrosating agents, which lead to formation of nitrosamines and nitramines. They are carcinogenic pollutant.
Thank you for your response. Could you indicate the method of rapid analysis of hydroxylamine and nitrosamines in wastewater? I was thinking about IC, however It is hard to find a laboratory willing to analyze this type of compounds (new calibration, etc).
