the first author has the biggest responsibility, he manages everything necessary.
I think the biggest credit should go the first author.
The co-author has the biggest responsibility in the quality of the final paper while the first author has the biggest responsibility in all topics within the paper. anyone works in the paper should be mentioned as an author or mentioned in acknowledgment.
The number of authors, in my opinion, only negatively affects the corresponding author when there are 'too many' i.e. above 15 authors. It has often been reported, on RG, of articles with hundreds and thousands of authors. This 'damages' the credibility of the corresponding author for allowing such a situation - which is likely acknowledging 'friends' rather than those who have contributed.

I think as Andrew Paul McKenzie Pegman , number of co-author may affect on the first/corresponding author.
I think 4 or 5 authors meaning there are best research cooperation and paper is well organised and prepare. More than 10 authors difficult to coordinate the paper quality and work.
