hi, so i have a question with regards to clinical significance, statistiscal significance and effect size (ES). rigth now m doing e literature on the effect of physiotherapeutic intervention to increase ankle dorsiflexion.
i have one study in witch MWM is compared to a control group.
in the study the between groeu differences are statistiscal signifcant with a cohens d 3.9. when i take a look at the MCIC of the goniometer must the difference be above 5 degrees to be Clinical significant. in this study is the difference about 2 degrees. what i dont understand is why is the ES ''large'' while not Clinical significant?
you would say that a large ES means that the interventio is effectief is right?
