I have a proposal to the ResearchGate team to include in all author profiles as a new feature the link on ChatGPT to provide answers to questions.
In this case we will haven't any questions without answers.
The use of ChatGPT to answer scientific questions is a dangerous and reckless idea. ChatGPT learns statistical patterns in text, it does not understand or reason about the content it learns. The engine does not check whether the output is factually correct or not. The factual accuracy is only achieved by curating the material by hand. ChatGPT was made with documents on a scale that precludes such careful curation of material.
While I work on AI and support its development, I advocate judicious use of it. This is not one instance of judicious use.

I know that you have posted those questions and it is frankly not contributing to answering questions on a scientific forum. Your answer using ChatGPT lack the requirements of a scientific response that is measured on experience and knowledge. Also note that I have commented on some of those posts
I would also suggest that you familiarize yourself with how transformer neural networks process the data before relying on them. If you have read about them you should know that there is no understanding of the contents of the response generated.
While ChatGPT may be a good tool for scientists, it cannot replace humans. A good understanding of the topic of interest is crucial to scrutinize the responses provided by this OpenAI tool for a better decision. For example, ChatGPT can create a reference that sounds very good but does not exist in reality.
It is possible that with advances in GPT-like models, we may see paragraphs, articles, and even complete documents generated by AI in the future. However, it is important to note that while these models can generate human-like text, they lack the ability to understand or generate new knowledge. As a researcher, reviewer, or editor, one way to detect AI-generated text is to look for patterns or inconsistencies in language and content. Additionally, you can use plagiarism detection software to check for similarities to existing texts. To compete with these models, it is important to focus on producing high-quality original research that cannot be replicated by artificial intelligence.
Emiliana Minenna 's comment is right on point. I would also like to emphasize one of her points about plagiarism detection software, in that, there is a nonzero probability that the output generated by ChatGPT may contain verbatim content from another source which can be considered plagiarism. I cannot overemphasize her point on this, since, you could be potentially be violating the terms of use on websites and copyright laws.
