This is a question for editors out there, please. I am currently writting a perspective article and I would like to support some of the ideas that I expose in this paper with peer-reviewed research. My manuscript does not have a formal methodology (because it is a perspective paper)... but I would like to refference and exemplify with evidence-based research. In such a case, can I use ChatGPT to just locate relevent papers? For example, if I propose that some therapeutics could be used for a certain condition as a personal observation and opinion, can I back it up and exemplify with papers that I find through asking ChatGPT? I am assuming that I could do this because ChatGPT is not being used in a formal methology... although I am thinking I should mention how I located such refferences... And, of course, each article in being checked to see if it is really relevant and the quality of research. What is your opinion? Txs!
