Hello. I have analyzed carbon nanostructures that contains Copper (1-2 nm) and Cobalt (~20 nm), the Cobalt particles shine in zeta contrast as they should but the carbon nanostructures shine too, does anyone know why
This is very interesting. I do not know for sure but can make wild guesses...
But before that can you tell us, how much copper and cobalt you have added...
Dear Researcher
The carbon nanostructures contains -----Copper ( 1-2 nm) and cobalt (20 nm).
Yes,the transition metals and metal oxides contains very interesting properties.
In special case -Copper case -again you check the results due to SEM,TEM morphology is very different then the other one.
Second things -----Percentage of each copper and cobalt is very important then matrix system.
The carbon nanostructures may be having some impurities that reflect in the Zeta contrast. Run the EDX for point analysis again.
We have an issue with some N-doped CNT with iron nanoparticles. Sometimes during the thermogravimetric analysis this one goes back. At the beggining all is normal...the sample begins to decompose...

Hello, I need help to index peaks in a x-ray difraction pattern. I did a synthesis of carbon nanostructures (nanotubes and ribbons) using a solution containg C, N, O, S, H. I got the C (002) peak...

When I tried to energy minimization my system, I got fatal error as below. Fatal error: Atomtype opls_116 not found Although I've already added this line: ; include water #include "oplsaa.ff/spc.itp" to [molecultype] directive in my topology.

Need to image mesoporous silica nanoparticles using the TEM. Also, need high resolution TEM images to see the mesoporous structure. Kindly suggest what kind of grids to use. Thanks, Shatadru
