why their is a diiffrent window for carbon materials . when people are using CNT / GO with nickel foam they are using positive window for cyclic voltammetry. but when the are using some activated carbons with nickel foam they are using negative window for cv .
if i have deposited some carbon material then which window i should follow ?

First of all your question is not clear.
Please check the electrolyte condition (acidic or alkaline) for positive window and negative window in the cyclic voltammetry. If people are using acidic electrolyte they cycled in positive potential window (vs. Ag/AgCl) and for alkaline medium they used negative potential window (vs. Ag/AgCl). But for both case potential will same window if you do it vs. RHE (pH correction using Nernst eqn).

With carbon materials window from 0 to 1V. But if you use composites of conducting polymer with carbon you may use window from - 0.2 to 1V.
According to oxidation and reductions peaks in case of polymers.
as best of my knowledge, activated carbons have small pores like structures which are occupied with the adsobates that increases surface area. As the surface area increases automatically potential decreases that means potential shift to negative side. CNT and GO are having definite shapes without pores. so, surface area of CNT and GO is small when compare with activated carbon.
