Can you use a non-smart TV and make it smarter? If that is an option, would you still buy a smart TV?

We do have a lot of TV from the older generation that are non smart and at times Plasma and LCDs. But is it possible to use them as a smart device?

If you define smart TV as a TV with internet connectivity, there are a lot of devices in the market that can provide internet facility to your old generation televisions. If your TV has a HDMI port, that is a winner. Most of those devices are compatible with HDMI port, however, there are also devices available with AV cables.
