I have been blessed with the ability to write and have had the opportunity to write seven books and many journal articles. The paramount skill that I think that I have is the ability to combine ideas in creative new ways.
The metaphor that I have started to use is that of the kaleidoscope. Each new concept we learn is like another small piece of glass that can combine with all of the other concepts -- just as the many pieces of colored glass can be combined in multiple ways to produce many varying patterns.
As a result of what I learn, I am able to combine these new ideas -- often generating what others might consider to be innovative. (My feeling is that I just combine the concepts in a little bit different way.)
I had the experience just today. I developed a new philosophical model called Transformative Philosophy and am writing about that model in a book chapter that I am currently writing.
In many ways I just feel as if I am a conduit -- receiving insights from a divine source to generate slightly different ideas. I feel truly blessed to be able to be the means whereby new insights can be shared with others.
Attached is a list of some of the new ideas I have generated in this kaleidoscopic process, along with some of my other research accomplishments.
