I am looking into different Raman spectroscopy methods and i wanted to know what people thought about the signal to noise of Fourier transform Raman spectroscopy. I read it has much better reproducibility but i don't know how the noise of the system compares to the much stronger signal of a dispersive system. Can you overcome the weak 1064 nm signal with an increased integration time without the detector noise outpacing the noise in a 785 nm dispersive system.
TL:DR if time is not a factor can a FT Raman system reach the same SNR of a dispersive Raman system?
