For groundwater remediation, carbon adsorption is usually used to treat the off-gas from air stripper. Carbon adsorption needs pretreatment to remove particulates so that it would not destroy the downstream unit operations. The technologies that are used to remove these particulates are called particulate filter and they are basically solid-gas separators right?

Can you please give a common example of a solid-gas separator that is usually used with carbon adsorbers?
