Coplanar waveguide can feed a monopole, just a coaxial cable can. I'm not sure what you mean by a monopole patch antenna. Usually a patch antenna is microstrip, and not a monopole, but two dipoles (one at either end of the patch). A monopole usually sticks up above or beyond a ground. The coplanar guide can be in this ground and feed any monopole above the ground, or continuing past the end of the ground. The edge of the ground can also be shaped to help match the antenna.
A microstrip patch can be fed through a slot from a coplanar waveguide below the ground-plane.
