I want to test an endophytic fungus strain for its ability to promote growth in plants. For this I found a nice procedure in Forchetti et al. (2007): Endophytic bacteria in sunflower: isolation, characterisation and production of JA and ABA in culture medium. The authors tested bacteria for their potential as growth promoting rhizobacteria.

I´d like to adapt their methods - mainly cultivation of the bacterial strains on plates containing special substances - for the fungus I study. Has anyone tried that yet? Do you think it would be successful?
