Ashok,

As Luis pointed out quartz is transparent to UV bands between 190 um and 400 um. Most borosilicate and soda lime glasses, however, are only transparent ~325 - 400 um.

You will not get effective treatment as glass absorbs UV. Quartz is the material of choice.
