Instead of splitting, you can 'slice' the body wherever you want. Also you can use Boolean operations on body to get the desired shape of body. Search Ansys help manual for more information.

In Design Modelere you should first draw a sketch with the 'splitting' geometry. Afterwards use "Extrude", "Rotate", etc. but instead of "Imprint" you can use "Slice Material".
I don't know how it works in Space Claim but should be similar. Otherwise - as Nikhil Patil already said - use boolean operations.
can you please elaborate like how to deal with same.
Actually i have sliced the geometry(a cylinder) and meshed it but problem is somehow there is creation of two wall surfaces at the interface of two mesh i guess which are not even being displayed when i do highlight mesh zone
you should create a sketch and define your intended area and then by using the split tool, you can discrete the surface and by using the slice tool, you can cut the model.
