As the silica application increases the photosynthates of the plant and it increases insoluble form of silica with carbon present in the plant which may not be decomposed easily in the soil after addition of residue.
Yes sir. Definitely C sequestration is down by plants after application of silicon. That's why the availability of silicon will be steady release to the crop after so many days if we use rice husk or rice straw. But instead of using of using rice straw and rice husk better to use rice husk ash so that it contains more amount of silicon and also silicon availability in soil will increase . As you have mentioned about slow release of silicon in to the soil by using the rice husk and rice straw. We can increase the availability of silicon by using Rice husk ash. For your information in Tamilnadu agriculture University, Coimbatore studies were studied on silicon solubilizing bacteria which can make silicon present in soil more available to plants .
