Can we keep , our published research paper in thesis as a chapter and How much self plagiarism is allowed for Ph.D thesis ?
In many Indian universities thesis submission is not accepted untill and unless a few published papers from the thesis are submitted together.
In India, thesis with compilation of published papers is not as per UGC norms. At the same time, a paper cannot be a chapter. You may add the paper at the end of relevant chapter or at the end of thesis. In Western world, papers as individual chapters is allowed in some countries. In India, it may look awkward for the examiners as majority of them are not used to consider a paper as a chapter.
Yes published papers are provided together with the thesis at its end.
In India it can't be recommended to keep the published paper as a chapter in thesis.
