As Corporate entrepreneurship is a terminology commonly used for corporations, i am wondering can we investigate it in educational institutes? I was planning to write a paper on Corporate entrepreneurial intentions in the higher education institutes, but as the term is meant for corporations, is it logical to use educational institutes as sample?
That is a worthwhile topic to investigate as HEIs across the globe are becoming more marketised. This results into the development of entrepreneurial and corporate culture within the HE sector. Which country/countries are you interested in?

I also agree that this is a potentially interesting area, the modern Higher Education Institution is a multi million business more commonly being run under financial rules and targets than the older model of a purely educational institution. Tewchnically UK Universities are not corporations and do not come under than particular arm of financial regulations, rather they are technically charitable bodies so there may be 'technical' reasons why differences exist and this may be a consideration you might want to keep an eye on. But in the classical sense of corporate entrepreneurship as the province of a body that has inputs, outputs, resources, enabling processes, strategic plans and the like, HEIs are corporations.
The secondary area, which is an aspect I have studied, is the role the HEI plays in developing corporate entrepreneurial intentions in our students - I have done a number of studies in this area and can provide you with publications if this is of interest, please let me know. We also have statistically reliable measures of Entrepreneurial Intent and Venturing Self Efficacy.

You might wish to clarify your question. Many universities in some countries are privately owned, and for all practical purposes, they are run like private enterprises regardless of what they may call themselves.
To investigate entrepreneurial intentions in higher education, you may want to search literature with the following terminology: 1. academic entrepreneurship, 2. student entrepreneurship, 3. technology transfer, 4. university-industry relationships, 5. university r&d collaborations.
