I'm not sure that I understood your question completely. But the answer would be yes. If you analyze the individual level variable then you will capture the effects from various levels of organization on the considered individual level variable.

It is possible to construct a statistical\econometric interaction between the two variables, by computing:
(w1*V1)*(w2*V2)
where V1 and V2 are the two variables, w1 and w2 are two weights which usually can be considered: w1+w2=1
Without any type of a-priori information you can assume the weights are equal.
The variable of course can be explained in this sense: if the knowledge sharing is 0 or also the operational excellence is 0, their interaction will be 0. If the values are different from 0 then the interaction will be positive and different from 0. In your statistical\econometric model you have to implement, of course, some sensitivity analyses in order to evaluate different specifications. For example by considering the nature of your variables it is normal to consider different possible definitions for each variable (number of levels).
If you want to consider a different number of possible qualitative variables in your statistical\models you can construct a different variable by a multivariate methodology.
