Can we add a plastic waste in a metallurgical coal as a binder to improve the CSR /CRI in coke ? to reduce the pollution.
Literature states that cold strength of coke sometimes depends on the type of plastics added in metallurgical coal, for example addition of polyethylene increases the cold strength of coke.
Addition of Plastics up to certain limits doesn't show any significant difference in CSR or CRI of the coke.

Depending on the type of plastic wastes, quality of coke varies slightly in the direction of improvement.
