🔴 Phyto-glycogen was reported. Sugary Maize (Su-1 maize) produces phyto-glycogen as it has a mutation in an isoamylase-type debranching enzyme [1]. So, if you mutate this enzyme artificially, you might be able to produce and accumulate (phyto)glycogen in plants (?). CRISPR-Cas technology is a good tool to produce such mutations.
