Most pro-poor growth policies had always examine pro-poor growth as achieving economic growth. The logic is that when growth is achieved it will trickle down to the poor segment of the society. However it has been asserted that even when growth is achieved, it does not affect poverty. I really feel that policies are not effectively targeted. It is my opinion that policies should be target at examining the capabilities of the economic active poor with the aim at poverty reduction and contributing to the growth process.
