In my opinion, the information posted on social media portals are not 100 percent. safe.
There have been cases of hacking and stealing information from thousands of records, user profiles of these portals.
In addition, there are developed techniques for building programs that read information from commentators entered into thousands of profiles of social media portals.
Then this information is a research material for the sentiment analyzes carried out, i.e. analyzes of opinions prevailing among users of these portals on specific companies, brands, products and services.

I wouldn't think so. On the other hand: Those exchanging confidential information via Social Networks shouldn't complain...
Yet no one claim with conviction about a foolproof security mechanism for protecting information any where in this world.
Security is a major concern in this era where no one escape from browsing information etc.
There's nothing called 100% security. Not even the pentagon would claim that they are 100% secure.
I agree with you, info posted is not currently 100 percent safe and may never be on social media portals.

No system has been empirically tested to be 100% secure in terms of keeping information safe and confidential. Information entered on social media is for public consumption, we have heard many stories about security breaches. So definitely, its never secure
No, it can't. At the very least, one can write a bot to scrape the site and gather any publicly available info. It's in the nature of social media that at least some information there can be stolen.
All of "social media" portal made for mining information about their users, and shell them for "some" profit. The firms abuse these data provably. Every day we get new informations how they "managing" the user's datas. only the sillys think that, the social media is a safe place, but they are in majority, and for that working the social media business.
At hte first moment, when the "social media" began to work, the detectives get a new place to get information about users, they contacts and other things, from only the open written informations! I have an username, and password to use the FB, but NEVER posted anything, I have not an partner, or other, whit that username, but f I want to know anything from anybody I can...
All of software have mistakes, backdoors, like the hardware's fimrware. The information-technology did not made to be safe, only to be usefoul! Like all of what te humanity made, or invent, or did in all of our history. The safety and security is in the focus in my research.
And that is fact, never and nowhere is 100% safe, we are happy if we have in our life cca 70% safe...
This world is a dangerous place, to live is dangerous too, becouse phe possibility of die is 100%! (All of the exeptions what are documented are not verifiable )
