Sheetali is the Sanskrit name for winter season. SInce the body temperature reduce with mouth breathing, the name of technique found in Yoga texts is Sheetali Pranayama a breathing technique to be used in dehydration situations than usual times. It hydrates proper practice and reduce dryness, reduce thirsty and improve flow of body fluids. All these helps in balancing the Vata, Pitta and Kapha dosha as in Ayurveda.
