The attached image is not clear enough here. However, it really depends on the location of cell/cells that are under shading since they reduce the current in the module and cause all other cells to produce higher voltages. Hotspot temperature can be reached here if the string's current reaches the short circuit current of the corrupted cell. On Matlab's simulink, you well notice a reverse bias on the shaded cell.

You have to strictly following it.
The model above can be used provided that you include the reverse I-V characteristics of the solar cell.
The model above can be used to calculate the shadowed cell voltage and cell current after which you have to proceed as I told you previously.
