COVID-19 is transmitted by people with the virus. The disease is mainly spread from person to person through respiratory droplets expelled from the nose or mouth when a sick person coughs, sneezes, or talks. These droplets are relatively heavy, do not travel great distances and quickly fall to the ground. COVID-19 can be contracted if these droplets are inhaled.
You seem to have answered your own question, but the research I have seen says that the droplets can stay in the air for anywhere from minutes to a few hours.

People it seems to have solved your own issue, but still the studies I saw appears to say the droplets can stay in the air for hours to days where ever.

There is also a time duration besides the distance dimension of the virus potency. F2F is most potent in terms of distance and time. There will be a variation in terms of distancing and time as well.
