It would almost certainly be uneconomical from an energy usage perspective.. The energies we have available in the laboratory are far, far higher than production processes can achieve.
sonochemical irradiation has been proven as an effective technique for the synthesis various types of metal oxides applying sound energy to agitate particles in the sample. Yet, predictability and repeat-ability in the case of physical and chemical changes would be a challenge for large volume production.
