There are several ways to synthesis graphene nano ribbons. I will prefer to synthesis, one is by Hummers methods, and another is the electrochemical unzipping method. If you have very large amount of MWCNT, you can try by the Hummers methods, if you have very less amount of MWCNT, then you can try by the electrochemical method. There are few advantages of synthesis GNR by electrochemical methods, after unzipping the MWCNT, we required reducing agents to reduce the oxidase GNR, and hummers method require very cation for the performing the experiments. I will give the reference for both the method. My opinion, the electrochemical method probably the best ways to synthesis the GNR.
