I have been looking for some models for Service Life (SL) prediction and have been able to find such models that gives a certain number for the SL. However, for such models, i have some doubts and I believe that if those models could give the remaining SL in terms of a range (Lower bound-Upper bound), the solution would be quite realistic.

After carrying out NDT, structure capacity evolution can be done and its remaining life can be predicted, For re modelling the structure, structure properties are essential.
I was thinking to use polarization methods to estimate corrosion. What I would need is to find out a mathematical (deterministic) model to interpret the service life. For example, Maaddawy et al (2007), Alghamdi S. (2013), they all use a deterministic approach in estimating service life based on structural properties. Likewise, Aren't there enough approaches that people have developed over the years?
