Biomass studies in tropical and subtropical forests of India are primarily confined to FRI &C, Dehra dun. Indian Forester - a journal in published from this institute since almost a century. You may refer the back volumes of this journal. You may also request the Librarian / Documentation Officer to provide you bibliography on the subject for Indian forest trees.
For satellite derived biomass data, well more or less, try Baccini et al. 2009 & 2011(i think) for tropical biomass. Saatchi et al. 2011 extends biomass predictions beyond the tropics.
