Next year I will start teaching metagenomics to master students (mainly focused on bioinformatics). Can anyone recommend a text book related to this topic? I am also interested in other related material such as video seminars. Thanks
I was not planning to made the course availbale online, but this is an interesting idea. I will think how to organize this, I am always open to try something new in teaching :)
Thanks a lot, however, despite I have read many papers regarding metagenomics, I feel that I need a textbook to have a more generel overview of the field and to provide to the students something "simple" for the study. I am collecting a lot of interesting presentations and reviews in internet and possibly I will use this as starting material.
However, if you find some useful reviews reagarding metagenomics, I would really appreciate if you can inform me.
I can really recommend the BioStar Handbook for Bioinformatics and genomic analysis. It is written very intuative and covers everything you need for all kinds of -omics.
