I seek: an application, or a realistic benchmark that would load my networks and allow me to measure its various performance aspects.
Purpose: performance analysis of data center networks.
Requirements:
(1) realistic under the assumption that sources and sinks of traffic are located within a single data center,
(2) puts visible load on the network,
(3) CPU and memory are not bottlenecks,
(4) relatively easy to deploy.
This may be something that is well known and old. I do not look for synthetic benchmarks or traffic generators.
