I'm trying to refer to pedagogical practices that foster learner empowerment. Yet I'm struggling to define the term myself.
Can somebody help?

Empowerment it simply means giving authority or power to some to do something.
Empowered learner is being motivated to perform tasks, and more specifically an empowered person finds the tasks meaningful, feels competent to perform them, and feels his/her efforts have an impact
Learner empowerment is nurtured through environment, planning, access to digital resources, opportunities to solve complex problems, engagement with real-world issues, and applying analysis and critical thinking skills.

Of course it is very possible for a teacher to empower his students, because this will help the psychological aspects of students so that it will increase their confidence. Students' self-confidence will open their minds making it easier for students to develop themselves both cognitively and skills
