I am trying to export some plots from Origin (Version 9.1) and then form a collage out of these plots and then use in a word file. I am using the following specifications:
.tiff format, 600 dpi, 8 cm height, tight in page fit, 22 font size of the labels/legends
When I export a plot, the image is really good, but when I make a collage out of these exported images and save it as a picture, it is still good. But when I insert this collage into a word file and publish it as a .pdf file, the image really loses it's quality i.e. the plot is ok, but the legends and labels become hazy and distorted.
So can somebody suggest the standard image file specification for plots that can used for manuscript etc.? Or any other trick that might solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

I recommend instead of making a collage of images, merge graphs in origin and then convert to image. 300 dpi will be enough and is required by most journals. The video link of how to do it is as follows:
