I have used data from an RG discussion of mine in the following research blog:

I believe with a sufficient sample size it can certainly serve as anecdotal evidence, or perhaps scientific evidence as long as we keep the context--these are opinions. Here is a case in example for two of my own posts:

Dear Aparna Sathya Murthy , you are right on about issue with representativeness (lack thereof) of the participants. So that is the reason I used the responses about my "precision Medicine" post in my blog, rather than attempting a scientific presentation or publication.
Responses can be used, but without scientific value, due to activity bias.
In my opinion, responses posted in RG are personal opinions & might not represent the real situation.. & unless it depend on a strong evidence, we cannot rely on.

Sometimes, responses to a discussion post in RG can be used as the source of data for research such as articles, sites, and links.
It depends on the question asked. The answers to some questions can certainly be used as research ideas. There are questions where the recommendation for a Master thesis or similar research is explicitly sought.
No, responses are just a point views and not a scientifuc findings or published results, so you may consider such interactions as a guid or recommendations to be followed..
