Research papers are in brief, book chapters are in detail. Can publishing a prepublished research as a new expanded book chapter be acceptable in the academic world?
If it is already published then I do not think the editor of the book will accept it.

Thanks a lot for good answer. As per my question, the chapter will be in an "expanded form"; whereas, the prepublished article might be in a "contracted form".
I think that, it may be acceptable to some editors, if many things new are now added in an expanded form.
@P.K. Kumar, in such case you should cite your previous paper to avoid any ligel complications.
I have published a solo book and the copyright of that book was not transferred, as the price of that book was too high people was not able to purchase it. So I have written a small article out of it and publish in a international journal.

Yes, of course. Plagiarism must not be ever entertained. Actual citations must be there. From all the angles of expertise, it must be a new one.
