I need to derivatize the α-iodoketone, is it possible to do a nucleophilic substitution by base/acid catalysis if not by any other way i can get a derivative of it? please provide references if there are any.
α-Iodo ketone be substituted by a nucleophile as it is better leaving group.
Iodo from iodo ketone is very reactive and prone to any nucleophilic attack without any reagent

Of course, it is possible, with sulfur or nitrogen containing nucleophiles. Also with cyano group with potassium or sodium cyanide.
If your intent is to do a nucleophilic substitution it may be difficult because of the favorskii rearrangment
Yes, it is possible. See the mechanism of fischer Indole synthesis, employing alpha halo propiophenone and an aromatic amine to get indole nucleus...
