Can we use induction heating method for finding the melting temp. of ceramic powders?
or suggest to use any other method for finding melting temp. of ceramic powders.
dear Lochan Sharma, I do know how you intend to apply the induction process to achieve the melting of the Mineral powders (directly?), but it, of course, requires that they are electrically conducting ( usually ferromagnetic materials like metals). This is because eddy currents Need to be formed and flow through the material. Its resistance causes a heat generation by which it is heated. No electrical conduction, no eddy currents, no heating; if conducting, but low resistance, low heating).
However you could apply it indirectly by using an inductable crucible device. The Problem here, the max temperature Needs to be high enough.
As far as I know the welding flux temperatures can be quite high (3000 to 4000°C) with extreme local gradients. To obtain that you may Need to apply this technique as well and try to measure with a Pyrometer or something similar.

I also suggest hot stage/heating microscopy by which you can determine characteristic temperatures from sintering to melting. At the same time, wetting angle is measured. Viscosity can be calculated from the measured data as well.

If you can able to make homogeneous sample for different chemical composition, you can go for Ash Fusion Test.
You can able to get softening and flow characteristics of the sample in pictorial image also.
But temperature limitation is 1600 deg C
