IEEE 13 node feeder has been modeled without a voltage regulator block. The load flow results in simulink are little more than 65% accurate. I connect the HydroQuebec (R) 100 KWp PV model on node containing the switch. The active P of loads is matched with PV output but Q supply is more than Q demand, in the island. I look to test my proposition---P/Q balance in a healthy grid can itself lead to creation of unintentional island. Something can lead to tripping of an upstream relay dur to sudden decrease of grid-current. The spikes in voltage and current in field tests are due to filter quality in inverter. The wave shapes in simulated case seem to be OK but i am now more worried about the modeled IEEE 13 node feeder that is actually 62% accurate in magnitude and whose phase angles are actually reverse of IEEE std. and this is because i have tried to model phase sequence of each line segment as exactly as possible....Thanks
The field tests and simulation graphs of a discreticized electrical system taking sample at every micro-second, in terms of time scale, the comparison looks questionable but yes the characteristics/ the spikes/ trend may give some answer. Also the load is less than PV in field test but in my case....the recent one....http://smartgridswidreem.blogspot.in/, the P and Q are symmetrically distributed among phases and the per phase PV P and Q match....last plot wave shape just before 'manual' islanding is interesting. Any other observations?
