Another approach is the use of only aliphatic compounds, e. g. 1,4-Cyclohexane-dimethanol diglycidether or this combined with butande-1,4-diol diglycidether or added epoxydized natural oils, as a hardener you should use e. g. isophorone diamine and cure at 75°C, no catalyst used. The materials will have a Tg < 0°C.

Rubber modification is okay. However, there is segregation of rubber during use. It is better to modify the composition. You can modify dicarboxylic acid with long chain diol. The end being carboxyl, it can be reacted with epoxy and the cured product is viscoelastic. Also, you can cure epoxy with jeffamin (long chain ether amine). It will be viscoelastic in nature
